Then you are the Regulatory Change & Compliance Consultant that we need, making these rules understandable for various financial institutions via our Ruler tooling.

We are looking for a Regulatory Change & Compliance Consultant to join our team as we continue to grow in Belgium, but also within Europe.


What is Ruler ?

Ruler is a software application developed by Projective Group's Risk & Compliance consultants. It makes visible which current and future legislation a financial institution must comply with. In addition, the financial institution can use Ruler to determine its compliance with the relevant laws and regulations that apply to it.

What will you do ?

As a Regulatory Change & Compliance Consultant within Projective Group, you will be engaged in the following work:

  • Keeping track of international and national financial supervisory legislation and translating it to the various profiles, topics and issues within Ruler.
  • Drafting news releases (alerts) that are sent to our clients on a daily basis.
  • Processing new regulations the moment they come into force, as well as keeping track of emerging laws and regulations and communicating about them to our clients and internally within Projective Group.
  • Performing quality assurance on the existing profiles. You will map the current legislation for each profile and, based on this, assess whether improvements can be made to improve the user experience.
  • Making the backend of Ruler EU-proof so that Ruler can be rolled out in other EU countries.

You may also collaborate on the preparation of Regulatory Updates that are prepared for clients on a quarterly basis. And you will also have the opportunity to take on other legal work, such as writing qualification memos and news items.

You will be part of the editorial team and be its driving and steady force. You will be supported by the editorial team. The editorial team consists of about 10 Legal & Regulatory consultants who, in addition to their other duties, contribute daily to processing news items and keeping the Ruler tooling up to date.


As you grow into your role, you will assist our clients with the implementation of the new regulations. Advising them on what they need and how to ensure their compliancy. You will be evaluating and assessing the implementation of requirements from a content perspective. For complex interpretation discussion on regulations, you can rely on the support of Regulatory Experts in other teams.

Job requirements

Sound good ? These are the skills you will need in order to be successful :

  • It is important that you have a good ability to get to the essence of a legal requirement in few words that can be understood by non-lawyers;
  • a degree in Law;
  • +5 years experience as a corporate lawyer, preferably in the financial sector;
  • Knowledge of and experience with various financial supervisory legislation such as Wft, AML, AVG, EMIR, MCD, MiFID II, PSD II;
  • Pragmatic;
  • Passionate about sharing legal knowledge and able to translate this into understandable texts;
  • (native) Fluent in Dutch
  • Fluent in English 
  • Knowledge of French is a plus
