In today's complex regulatory landscape, organizations across the financial sector must navigate evolving compliance requirements to ensure operational integrity. As a Regulatory Compliance Consultant, you will play a crucial role in helping businesses align with regulations such as GDPR, ISO, AI Act, DORA, AML, CFT, IDD, CSRD, and consumer protection laws. By providing expert guidance, conducting assessments, and implementing compliance solutions, you will enable organizations to maintain security, efficiency, and legal adherence.

With our Risk & Compliance practice, we have a fast-growing and challenging portfolio of assignments as external compliance experts within the financial sector. We help them understand how and where the upcoming regulations have impact within their organization and help with remediations of gaps within existing regulatory guidelines.

What will you do ?

Your affinity & practical expertise with regulatory risk & compliance enables you to lead our clients throughout their regulatory challenges

In this role, you will drive programs/projects that cover the following:

  • Lead compliance assessments and regulatory projects across business units.

  • Design and enhance compliance frameworks aligned with industry standards.

  • Advise clients on practical compliance solutions that support business efficiency.

  • Conduct internal reviews, risk assessments, and independent evaluations.

  • Develop and update policies and procedures in line with NBB and FSMA requirements.

  • Support clients in building effective compliance functions, including monitoring and reporting.

  • Stay current with regulatory developments to guide proactive compliance strategies.

  • Build strong client relationships and contribute to the growth of compliance services.

Job requirements

Your Skills & Qualifications

  • +3 years in compliance, regulatory risk, or as a compliance officer in the financial sector (e.g., AML, DORA, ESG, PSD2).

  • Strong understanding of legal frameworks and financial regulations, with a commitment to ongoing learning.

  • Certified compliance professional (e.g., Febelfin, ICA).

  • Fluent in English and either Dutch or French.

  • Passion for regulatory integrity and staying current with supervisory legislation.

  • Collaborative, yet capable of working independently with a proactive, can-do attitude.

  • Results-oriented with strong problem-solving and efficiency focus.

  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

  • Flexible, client-focused, and business-aware.
