What will you be doing?

On a day-to-day basis as a Financial Services Scrum Master, you actively manage the delivery of product portfolios and train your development team in the Agile development practices. You also understand their strategic direction, issues and delivery goals. Responsibilities include:

• Track progress and achievement of the team goals at daily stand-ups using burndown charts/cumulative flow diagrams
• Have a strong understanding of product backlog- and iteration planning in an empirical environment
• Support Product Owner and Developers to ensure that goals, scope, product domain and product backlog items are understood by your stakeholders and team
• Facilitate efficient planning, item understanding and stakeholder involvement to maximize value

• Facilitate Scrum events for the team, from sprint planning to retrospectives, etc.

In the end, the work you do will be all about helping financial organisations of all shapes and sizes work smarter and grow faster.

Experience and skill needed for this role

• 3 or more years of experience in the financial industry, preferably within a consulting environment.

• A solid background in a client segment such as capital markets, corporate banking, retail banking, wealth and investment management or insurance

• You know how to work with XP, Scrum, SAFe, Lean, LeSS and KANBAN.

• You have hands on Agile delivery experience as an Agile Delivery Manager, Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer, Product Owner, Product Manager or something similar

• You dare to speak your mind and can communicate complex ideas effectively (both verbally and in writing).

• English is a must, knowledge of Dutch/French is a plus

• A project management certificate, Agile, Scrum, or Prince2 would be great.

• A sense of humour is always a bonus; the teams are also very sociable and get together regularly.

Yes, this list is quite specific; however we’d love to talk to Scrum Masters with any level of seniority and an interest in the Financial Services industry who can bring different skillsets; it's more about attitude, this job will give you a fantastic opportunity to work with a variety of people who are connected through their enthusiasm and pragmatism.
