As our Cardiff office continues to grow, we are looking for a Finance & Administration Assistant to join our UK finance team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone who has completed an apprenticeship in finance or accounting and is keen to gain practical experience while continuing to build their professional knowledge.
Working closely with our Financial Controller, you will gain exposure to real business operations while helping ensure the organisation's financial engine runs smoothly.
Job requirements
Imagine a day where you:
Support monthly and year-end financial reporting by preparing and validating financial data used in internal reporting processes.
Maintain purchase and sales ledger records, ensuring transactions are accurately entered and financial data remains up to date.
Assist with client invoicing by reconciling consultant timesheets and ensuring invoices are prepared accurately and on time.
Work closely with the Financial Controller, gaining practical experience across financial processes and business operations.
Contribute to maintaining a capable financial governance and operational efficiency as the organisation continues to grow.

You’re looking for your first professional role in finance where you can learn quickly, build practical skills, and contribute to a growing business.
You may have recently completed a degree or apprenticeship and are now looking for an environment that offers both hands-on experience and structured development.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
A 2:1 degree or above in Accountancy, Finance or Business Management, or a completed apprenticeship in a similar discipline.
A basic understanding of accounting processes gained through academic study or early work experience.
Solid attention to detail and an organised approach to managing tasks and deadlines.
Good communication skills and the confidence to work with colleagues across different teams.
The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and high standards of work.
Solid computer literacy across Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
While not essential, it would be great if you also have:
Some practical exposure to accounting or finance work through internships, placements, or part-time roles.
AAT Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, or an interest in continuing professional finance training.
Familiarity with accounting platforms such as Sage, Xero or NetSuite, or an interest in learning new financial systems.
